A bit of early morning sewing to the tune of chirping birdies, a barking Jubilee, and Eddie Vedder.
A couple "new" short-sleeved button down shirts for Jimmyredhed. They were formerly long-sleeved and he never wore them. Now he can rotate them into his daily wardrobe for work. And if I can figure out a pattern, I'm planning to repurpose the sleeves into a couple of skirts for Johannah.
With the weekend on the horizon, and who am I kidding -- I'm loving my four day weekends, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed but so excited for the activities of the next couple days. This morning, I'm running over to the Dill Pickle Food Co-op for my first volunteer shift which I plan to make regular on Friday mornings. A good friend from high school is coming in this afternoon and our very first Craft Bar takes place tonight. Tomorrow brings an Urban Folk Circuit business meeting and my mom for a visit who is joining me for a Cubs game on Sunday. Maybe by Monday we'll be ready to get some work done in my sewing room and a bit of shopping.
